Nonanoic acid Usage
Used as paint drying agent, plasticizer and synthetic lubricant:
Used as food flavoring. Mainly used to prepare coconut and berry flavors.
Used as raw material for organic synthesis, it can be made into azelaic acid by oxidation, nonylamine by amination, nonyl alcohol by pressurized hydrogenation, and can also be used to produce nonyl ester plasticizers, etc.
It is an intermediate in the production of detergent bleach activators and is used to produce polyol esters as lubricants for fibers and jet turbines
